Lulaine & Ruben were married on the 24th of April with their ceremony at Eensgezind. The venue was stunning the staff were professional and the company was great. We took all their photos at the venue and with sunset early in Autumn we got some great sunset pics. Lulaine was fun and we loved taking pics of the couple even into the evening we loved capturing the moments while she was making her speech which made everyone laugh and cry. And poor Ruben had the traditional Afrikaans guys sitting in front of him while he was making his speech.

Louise & Pieter
Louise & Pieter were married on the 18th of April at Rusticana. They had a outside ceremony with the Reception in the main hall that can cater for up to 300 gusts. What was nice about this site was that we could do all the photos there too. With Louise & Pieter we had such a relaxed and spontaneous time walking through the gardens that it gave us ample opportunities to take stunning pics. Can't wait for their StoryBook to be completed!

Forest Sublime
A week before the wedding I took a drive to the estate to view photographic potential of the venue. Of course as a photographer you have to explore otherwise you’ll never know what’s around the corner. While driving I came across this old stump in the middle of the forest (what a find!) which made an amazing pic on the day. As it happens while we where strutting our stuff on our couples day another lady that we met the day after saw us there…..what a coincidence! She already booked for next year April.
Elegance
There are times when things just go your way. Of course it helps when you have a stunning bride that makes it so easy to capture these type of images. I am still in the process of editing the rest as Helene and I took over 700 pics and I have now limited them down to 500+ but I had to post something for Maritza…..Enjoy

Rose
I love taking these type of pics where the emphasis is not on the couple bu the rose with the couple in the background.
It just adds a sense of romance to it. Now I try and include this in all my shoots.
If you would like to see more of this until I’ve figured out how to post slideshows then go to http://www.flickr.com/photos/24419359@N06/
Cheers

Well I've decided I'll give this blogging a go. I hope to dedicate enough time and to actually contribute enough pics for couples and photographers alike. And so here it goes after registering with google blogs, Flickr and some I have to get a link on my website at http://www.jpic.co.za/ but that one can wait for now.
Would love some comments of one of my recent wedding shoots in Slanghoek.
For now I'm back to recovering from my hectic Cape Argus cycle tour.
Cheers and enjoy,
