Lee-Ann & Werner du Plessis
26 September 2009, Neethlingshof
If superstitions are true and rain on your wedding day brings good luck and many children, Lee-Ann and Werner are sure to experience abundance in all areas of their new life together!
At the Yellow Lodge in Stellenbosch we were greeted by a radiant Lee-Ann and her bridal party. This bride’s attention to detail was apparent from the beginning, starting with the beautiful little cross pinned on her petticoat! Gorgeous jewellery and hair rounded off this beautiful bride and her pictures definitely show more then what I can say in words! The staircase leading up to the bridal suite made for great photographic opportunities with the four flower girls and three bridesmaids.
Arriving at Neethlingshof, the ceremony was moved into the restaurant. The red carpet with rose petals and hearts hanging from the chandeliers resulted a true sacred and romantic atmosphere. With the rain softly falling outside, Lee-Ann and Werner made their commitment to each other - afterwards dashing quickly outside to give guests the chance to shower them with rose petals!
Nothing was going to rain on this couple’s parade and after taking a few shots indoors, we braved it with four (!) umbrellas and went for a stroll outside. A big THANK YOU to Lee-Ann and Werner for their willingness to go out and make the photos they have dreamt about, a reality (and to their best man for resigning himself to a wet jacket for the night in trying to keep the couple – and sometimes even the photographer – dry!
At the reception one could really experience the effort that went into planning their big day – crystals, flowers and candles, and the special care taken in remembering those who were watching from above.
After a scrumptious supper, the DJ kept the guests on the dance floor and Beyonce’s “Single Ladies” will forever bring a smile to the faces of those that shared in Lee-Ann and Werner’s special day!
